Full Stack Engineer (Heavy Backend)

We are hiring for a full-time Full Stack Engineer with AWS experience developing services along with the front end components that will be relying on them.**This role is 80-90% Backend

A successful candidate will have experience developing and supporting a large and diverse set of applications. You will have a deep understanding of your preferred development stack and the ability to make and explain solid technical decisions when it comes to choosing the right tools/libraries/etc for the task at hand. You will know how to write clean, robust and performant code with a focus on simplicity, maintainability, and extensibility. You will have a knack for testing applications to ensure that they work as expected and negative testing to prove that they fail gracefully. You will have experience working with a team of talented engineers and the dynamics that come with it.

Tech Stack:  Golang, Python, Node, React, Kubernetes, AWS (we will train)

Responsibilities

• Work with the team to design, develop, test and support scalable applications in a lead role
• Ensure the stability and resilience of our applications focusing on production availability while ensuring the quality of the codebase
• Work with teams around Green Chef and HelloFresh on projects that will grow the company
• Mentorship of junior engineers through paired tasks, PR reviews and engineering presentations

Requirements

• 5+ years full-time experience developing, maintaining and extending web applications
• Understanding of modern javascript (ES6) and current tooling and libraries.
• Experience developing and maintaining highly scalable services and APIs
• Knowledge of data modeling and database performance on NoSQL/SQL

• MEAN/MERN stack
• Pub/Sub Messaging
• 3rd Party API Integration
• GoLang (bonus points)

Salary Range: $95,000 - $105,000
