The role

As the Senior Technical Lead Intralogistics in our fulfillment center development division, you’ll join a cross-functional team who is building the intralogistic processes for the future. 

Your main responsibility is the technical lead of the  implementation of large-scale and complex intralogistic projects with focus on conveyor, racking systems and other supporting warehouse processes and equipment. You integrate them in either brown- or greenfields. As an expert on conveyor systems and its requirements to buildings you speak at eye level with the respective domain experts and partners.

You manage and monitor project tasks and controls during project planning and delivery activities to ensure on-time and quality goals are met within scope and budget. To guarantee the successful integration of multiple projects at the same time by standardizing your approach and hence, ensure scalable project success. 

The ideal candidate is an energetic, analytical and self-reliant team player who understands how to effectively drive results in a fast-paced and rapidly growing company. This candidate must embrace the features of bigger investment projects and convince them with control and structure.

You’ll report to the Head of Warehouse Projects.

What you’ll do

  • You are fully responsible and accountable for the successful course of your  intralogistic project during all implementation project phases - from the project planning to the acceptance of the project
  • You plan and execute your project (s) thoroughly, from leadership over risk and cost management to task management, you are always on top of your assigned project (s).
  • You are in direct contact with our external solution vendors, building companies and internal stakeholders, throughout the duration of the project
  • Forming fantastic working relationships and building strong on-going partnerships with key teams to ensure alignment across the project and to ensure that deadlines are met
  • Driving the project by responding proactively to issues, competing priorities and key dependencies to ensure that the right decisions are made promptly
  • You communicate clearly and effectively with all stakeholders as well as with senior management. 
  • You bring the right people into the project and make sure they follow your standardized pm approach and methodology 
  • You bring your own ideas into all areas of implementation and question the given

What you’ll bring

  • A proven track record with minimum 5 years in managing large scale, CapEx projects, ideally within Automation, Material Handling or Manufacturing from a technical point of view 
  • A degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or a comparable qualificationBroad technical expertise with conveyors and racking solution and its integration into buildings 
  • Project management qualification such as IPMA Level D or higher, prince2 or PMP
  • A highly analytical and logical approach to work, with the ability to understand and challenge expert opinions
  • Effective communication and presentation skills at all levels of the business
  • Good organization is one of your great strengths, you act proactively and anticipatory 
  • A high level of motivation and enthusiasm and you are open to travel abroad
  • Hands-on mentality and you most importantly you know how to get things done
