The role

The HelloFresh PeopleOperations Team is now looking for a Junior HR Payroll Manager / HR Spezialist Lohn- und Gehaltsabrechnung (m / f / d) who will use their expert knowledge to help think and develop the topic of payroll within a young, rapidly expanding company, and consider this as a strategically important topic within the People Team. As a successful applicant, you will also always have an open ear for the questions of our employees, manage to organize and structure your tasks independently, and support internal team projects.

What you'll do

It is your main goal to ensure the monthly payroll using the payroll system “Accurant HCM” together with your colleagues. Therefore you will:  

  • Collect and process data from various sources and maintain the data in our payroll system 
  • Ensure the data quality with plausibility analyses, data checks as well as evaluation and comparison of current data to previous data and the creation of statistics
  • Be the contact person for internal and external stakeholder like employees, our People- and our Finance Department, social security agencies and authorities on questions of income tax and social security law
  • Participate in the monthly and annual financial statements as well as in internal and external audits
  • Be part of exciting and different projects for the continuous development of the HR department such as system integrations and process optimization
  • Have the portunity to take on management responsibility in expanding our internal payroll team

What you’ll bring

To help you manage your tasks successfully it would be advantageous to bring: 

  • Either a commercial apprenticeship, a business degree preferably with a focus on HR, an apprenticeship as a tax clerk or industrial clerk or similar
  • 1 year of professional experience/internship in payroll
  • Good knowledge of labor, tax and social security law as well as the rules and regulations for mini-jobbers and students
  • Being a team player but also able to work independently, structured and extremely conscientiously
  • Very good knowledge of Excel and a general affinity for new systems and tools
  • The ability to speak and write fluently in German and English
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels of the hierarchy
