No child should go hungry, yet 1 in 5 children currently experience food insecurity in the U.S. We’re partnering with No Kid Hungry to join the fight against childhood hunger and support their mission of making sure every kid gets 3 meals a day, 365 days a year.

A Partnership for Good

In the US, 1 in 5 kids face hunger every single day — a crisis that worsens in summer, when in-school meals aren’t available. With recent shifts in food assistance programs, millions of families are feeling the squeeze more than ever.

We’re stepping up our partnership with No Kid Hungry to launch the Kids Helping Kids Movement. It’s about empowering the next generation to look out for one another and fight hunger right in their own neighborhoods.

We know our customers are busy, so you do not need to be home to receive your box. Our custom delivery boxes are designed to keep your ingredients fresh for 24 hours or longer after delivery.

Yes, you can adjust the date and location of every delivery, and as a reminder, you do not need to be home to receive your box.

Your plan is weekly, but you can easily skip a week, pause, or cancel your account at any time. Just make sure you do so before your weekly cutoff to stop your next order.

Redeem a gift card

Do I have to receive my box immediately after I redeem my gift?

Your gift card recipient will receive an email on the specific day that you indicate. This email will contain step-by-step instructions on how to redeem the gift card. If you chose to print the gift card at home, it’s up to you to hand them their gift!

When will the person I am sending a gift card to receive it?

Nope! The gift card recipient does not have to have a HelloFresh subscription in order to redeem. If you are purchasing a gift card, we only ask you to log in or create an account so we can send you an order confirmation, but this will not result in a subscription. 

Do I have to have a HelloFresh subscription to purchase or redeem a gift card?

We don’t yet support buying multiple cards on the same order but you can go through the purchasing process several times without having to create a new account.

Can I purchase more than one gift card?

Yes, you will receive an email confirmation after purchasing a gift card. If you picked the ‘Print at Home’ option, this email will also include a printable card for you to download and give to the recipient. If the recipient(s) do not receive the email confirmation, we suggest they check their spam folders.

Will I receive an email confirmation for my gift card purchase(s)?

Unfortunately, we do not support this yet.

Can I buy a gift for someone who lives in a different country?

All of them! As long as the value is covered by your gift card you will not be charged. If you select recipes that exceed the value of your gift, you will be charged the difference. The value of each recipe is indicated on the Meal Selection page.

Which recipes can I choose from if I have a gift card?

If you have credit left on your account, it will automatically apply to your next delivery(ies) when you start a weekly subscription. Don’t worry, you can stop the subscription at any time! Go to Our Plans, select plan preferences, and complete checkout. The credit left from your gift will automatically be applied.
