The world’s first Fair Trade-Certified™ ocean-farmed white fish
The Better Fish® is transforming the seafood industry by offering the world's first Fair Trade-certified ocean-farmed white fish—barramundi. Their commitment to sustainability is evident through their climate-resilient practices that minimize food waste and environmental impact. As the world's first ASC-certified tropical marine fin fish farm and Asia's first Fair Trade-certified fish farm, they ensure that their operations benefit both people and the planet. They also prioritize environmental stewardship by shipping their products by sea, which emits 90% less carbon than air transport.HelloFresh meal kits have an average of 31% lower life cycle carbon emissions than meals made with supermarket ingredients.
Our Sustainable Seafood Practices
We strive to only source seafood that is rated a Green or Yellow by the Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch® program, or eco-certified by trusted, independent programs like the MSC, ASC, BAP or Global GAP. Seafood Watch serves as an advisor in our efforts to address the many facets of sustainable seafood, from environmental impact to traceability and social responsibility.
