Yes, we run a flexible subscription service where you can change or amend your order if you want to take a break... just let us know by the 11:59PM EST on Wednesday before the following week's delivery so we can let our fresh suppliers know.
Is there a minimum subscription length?
Nope, there is no minimum length for HelloFresh subscriptions.
How do I deactivate my subscription?
Deactivating your subscription is easy. You just need to go to login to your account and follow these steps:
Click My Subscriptions.
Then, click the edit icon on the right of My Box Details (dark grey pencil).
Click Deactivate my subscription in the bottom left corner.
Follow the steps, and once you complete the process, you will receive an email confirming your deactivation was successful. *Please note that deactivations must be done by Wednesday at 11:59pm the week prior to your next delivery, in order to not receive a box the following week.*
Can I put my subscription on pause?
Definitely. If you're travelling or would like to hold your subscription for any reason, simply log into your account and manage your subscription right there. Or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will take care of it for you! Just make sure that you make these changes by 11:59PM EST on Wednesday before the following week's delivery.
How much will I be charged each week?

When will I be charged?
Once you sign up for your first HelloFresh box you will be charged right away. For all subsequent deliveries you will be charged the Thursday before your next delivery. Please allow a few days for the charge to show on your account.
Can I choose my meals?
Yes! If you sign up for our Classic box subscription, you can choose 3 out of 5 recipes each week. You can make your meal choice after you go through the sign up process! This way you know what you'll be cooking and can plan ahead for your other meals! Unfortunately, we cannot yet offer choice for our Vegetarian subscription. But we are working on it! You can choose the meals you get by logging on to your account page and clicking on the "Meal Choice" tab and you will see the 5 options for this upcoming week. If you like the 3 highlighted, nothing more needs to be done. If you'd like to switch one meal for another, uncheck the meal, and then select whichever you'd prefer. The changes will save automatically.
Do you offer plans for people with special dietary requirements?
While we don't offer specific dietary plans, because our ingredients are delivered to you in separate packets, if you have any specific dislikes you can simply omit or replace these ingredients from a recipe. You can learn more about the ingredients we use in the Our Suppliers section.
Do you offer plans for singles?
Our entry level subscription feeds 2 people. We have many single-person households as customers who chose the 3-meal plan for 2 people, and gain eternal popularity with their friends or have amazing leftovers for lunch!
How to purchase an e-Giftcard?
Start by clicking Our Boxes at the top of the page. Then, choose whether you’d like to purchase an e-Giftcard for our Classic Box or Veggie Box. From there, just follow the prompts and click Checkout!
What zip code should I enter before I Add to Cart?
The zip code entered after you choose whether you’d like a Classic Box or Veggie Box e-Giftcard, should be for the person you’ll be giving the gift to. We just want to confirm that we ship to their area!
Why am I asked to enter a shipping address?
We want to make sure that the person receiving the gift card is in our delivery area. We'd hate for you to buy a gift for someone you love, just to find out they can't receive a box!
Can I purchase more than one?
Absolutely! In order to get more than one card at a time, start by clicking Our Boxes at the top of the page. Then, choose whether you’d like to purchase an e-Giftcard for our Classic Box or Veggie Box. The next page will ask you for a zip code (which will be for the person (s) you are sending the e-Giftcard to), click Next and then Click Add to Cart. Once you are in My Shopping Cart, click Back (in the bottom left corner) to add another e-Giftcard. You can do this as many times as you’d like. Once you get to the final Checkout page, please enter the shipping address of one of the recipients (as of right now, we only need to confirm one address). Entering a shipping address is only to confirm that we ship to their area. We will not send anything to that person.
When will I get my e-card?
You will receive an email with your e-Giftcard code within 3-5 business days, after Checkout.
Am I signing up for something when purchasing a giftcard(s)?
You are not signing up for an account when purchasing an e-Giftcard. We only ask for shipping information to confirm that we ship to your recipient’s location. Once you finish Checkout, you will receive an e-Giftcard within 3-5 business days.
I received an e-Giftcard, now what?
Please follow these simple steps to sign up for an account with HelloFresh:
Start at our homepage and click Get Started Now (you can always get to the Homepage by clicking the HelloFresh logo in the top left corner).
Choose whether you'd like to receive a Classic Box or Veggie Box (your e-Giftcard will specify which box to choose).
On the next page, choose whether you'd like a 2 plate or 4 plate (portion size), enter your zip code and click Next. Then choose your first delivery date. Click Add to Cart.
While in My Shopping Cart, confirm you order. Then, enter your e-Giftcard code where it says Coupon and click OK. Once the e-Giftcard is applied, the price will come down to $1 (which is an activation fee to create an account). Click Continue.
Finally, fill out all of your email info, shipping details, credit card information and, if you hadn't entered it in My Shopping Cart, enter your e-Giftcard code, (Coupon is located on the right side of the page between subtotal and taxes). Once you've entered all the necessary information, click Checkout and you're set!
*Just want the one gifted box? No problem! After you complete Checkout, email the Friendly Freshers at email@example.com and we will take care of that for you.

When do you deliver?
We deliver Wednesday, Thursday and Friday for all customers, as well as, Mondays and Tuesdays in specific areas. Deliveries typically arrive between 8am-8pm.
What if I am not at home to accept the delivery?
Not to worry! If you are not home during delivery, our courier will drop the box off at your front door (or wherever you specify in your Delivery Instructions).
If you live in an area where a box could not easily be left, we suggest one of the following solutions:
Provide the address of a helpful neighbor that will be home during the delivery window and can accept your package for you.
Have the box delivered to your work place.
Have the box delivered to a nearby business or restaurant that won't mind you picking up the box at a later time that day.
How does the food stay fresh in transit?
We have specially designed boxes that we pack with a nice, thick liner and ice packs to ensure that everything arrives to you perfectly cold!
How much does delivery cost?

Will my groceries stay fresh for the week?
Your groceries will stay fresh for the duration of the week. Our recipes are created using ingredients that stay fresh long enough for you to enjoy them in the week you have received them. If we include ingredients that need to be used sooner rather than later (such as fish) we suggest that you prepare them at the beginning of the week.
Where do you get your recipes?
HelloFresh works closely on recipe development with a team of in-house chefs who've graduated from the Institute of Culinary Education and other esteemed Culinary Schools. Our in-house dietitian Rebecca reviews each recipe, ensuring you get a balanced meal on the table!

Roughly speaking our meals contain anywhere from 500-800 calories each.
Which ingredients do you assume I have at home?
All you need to have available at home is salt, pepper, sugar, a good cooking oil, and butter. We'll give you the rest!
