HelloFresh has been informed by one of its suppliers that it is conducting a voluntary recall of its onions due to the potential presence of salmonella bacteria. Please discard all onions received from June 25 through July 31, 2020.
While there is no evidence of illness in connection with HelloFresh and this onion recall, customers should immediately discard onions received during the relevant time period. In the event that the onions were consumed, we note that thoroughly cooking the product to 165ºF/74ºC, as instructed on the recipe, will kill the salmonella bacteria.
