Looking for a way to add tons of extra flavor to your meal with almost NO effort? We’ve got two words for you: pan sauce. This one comes together in less than 5 minutes with aromatic fresh ginger and garlic, umami-packed miso sauce concentrate, and sweet peach jam. It’s drizzled all over seared pork chops, then served with fluffy rice and tender green beans. If you find yourself licking the plate clean, we won’t judge.

• Adjust rack to top position and preheat oven to 450 degrees. Wash and dry produce. • Peel and mince ginger. Peel and mince garlic. Zest and quarter lime.

• Heat a drizzle of oil in a small pot over medium-high heat. Add half the ginger and cook until fragrant, 30 seconds. • Stir in rice, ¾ cup water (1½ cups for 4 servings), and a big pinch of salt. Bring to a boil, then cover and reduce to a low simmer. Cook until rice is tender, 15-18 minutes. • Keep covered off heat until ready to serve.

• Pat pork dry with paper towels and season all over with salt and pepper. • Heat a drizzle of oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add pork and cook until browned and cooked through, 4-6 minutes per side. • Turn off heat; transfer pork to a plate. Wipe out pan.
Swap in chicken for pork.

• While pork cooks, trim green beans if necessary. Toss on a baking sheet with a drizzle of oil, salt, and pepper. • Roast on top rack until browned and tender, 10-12 minutes.

• Return pan used for pork to medium heat. Add a drizzle of oil, garlic, and remaining ginger. Cook, stirring, until fragrant, 30 seconds. • Add ¼ cup water (1⁄3 cup for 4 servings), jam, and miso sauce concentrate. Cook, stirring, until thickened, 3-4 minutes. • Remove pan from heat and stir in 2 TBSP butter (4 TBSP for 4) until melted. Stir in a squeeze of lime juice to taste.

• Fluff rice with a fork; stir in lime zest and a pinch of salt if necessary. • Divide rice, pork, and green beans between plates. Drizzle pork with sauce and serve with any remaining lime wedges on the side.
Chicken is fully cooked when internal temperature reaches 165°.
Yes yes yes to using miso in more sauces! The miso/peach combo was perfect with the splash of lemon - however there is ALWAYS too much fresh ginger in these recipes so I have learned my lesson and only put about 1tsp of grated ginger into the sauce, which gave it enough oomph to balance the sweet peach jam but without overpowering. Liked it, bring on more miso-based recipes!
This was really tasty! The miso peach went well with our chicken choice. We over-sautéed the ginger & thought the green beans were pre-trimmed so didn't trim (oops!); those are mistakes we know not to make next time!
Very tasty. The ginger and lemon zest in the rice was delicious and the jam sauce on the chicken (I swapped the pork) definitely took it to another level. Green beans were good too.
The ginger rice is so simple but super tasty, and the miso sauce is absolutely amazing!! One of my favorites for sure!
Love this meal! The chicken flavor is perfect. The rice is good but can use a little less ginger. Overall I'd make this again
This meal is amazing and so easy to make. Ginger flavored rice has become a new favorite of mine
I really liked this dish and enjoyed cooking it. You make the jam too, that was new for me and so good! I actually substituted the pork chops with chicken but then I had an idea to use fish ( I had some mahi mahi filets already) that went very well with this.
This was super easy, but SO flavorful. I'll definitely be stocking the ingredients to make it again. Also love we can swap the protein because we don't eat pork.
I recommend covering the meat with foil while cooking the sauce. Otherwise, the meat is a bit cold. Good flavor. Love the roasted green beans!
Please consider including more green beans in the box, it wasn't enough for three people.
