This is a far cry from your average ho-hum turkey and cheese sammy (although it still takes just 10 minutes to make). We’ve hooked you up with soft, plush brioche buns, hearty sliced turkey, and mild, nutty gouda slices. Simply whip up a quick homemade Dijonnaise to slather on the buns, layer with crisp baby lettuce and juicy tomato, and dig into a classic yet elevated sandwich you’ll look forward to all morning.

Produced in a facility that processes eggs, milk, fish, peanuts, sesame, shellfish, soy, tree nuts, and wheat.

Cooking Steps

1

• Wash and dry produce.

2

• Halve buns and toast until golden brown.

3

• Trim and discard root end from lettuce; separate leaves. Slice tomato into ¼-inch rounds; season with salt and pepper.

4

• In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise and mustard.

5

• Spread Dijonnaise on cut sides of toasted buns. Fill buns with turkey, gouda, lettuce (we used two leaves per sandwich; save remaining lettuce for another use), and tomato. Serve.

Review summary

Updated on Dec 2025
  • Flavor: Many loved the tasty combo of turkey and Gouda on brioche, though some found it a bit bland.
  • Ease of prep: Quick, simple, and perfect for busy days or on-the-go meals — ideal for hot summer lunches 🍲.
  • Suggestions: Consider adding pickles, onions, or sliced apple for extra zing; some wanted more Dijonnaise or spicier seasoning.
  • Portions: Several noted abundant turkey and lettuce; a few suggested including more cheese slices for better balance.
  • Bread: The brioche buns were a hit, though some found them too thick; toasting enhanced crispiness.

So good and so easy especially on hot days and no one wants to cook. We switched a bit and tried also with ham. Both really good. Never had gouda before and we love it

Very tasty! Gouda goes really well with the Turkey. I would've preferred a bit more mustard though.

The only bad thing was the the tomato was really really underripe like there was no way that it was going to taste good. It was so pale pink of a color. But the turkey was delicious. Everything was else was delicious.

I really enjoyed the sandwich but I don't need 2 bags of lettuce for 2 sandwiches when I only used 4 leaves of it. Y'all need to get your portions right. This recipe has too much lettuce and not enough stuff to make a salad dressing.

These were tasty and easy to make. I took the tomatoes and made a bruschetta since I don't like sliced tomatoes and it was to die for together.

Easy and delicious! My son made these for the family for dinner. The buns are nice and soft on the outside, but crispy on the inside, too!

Grabbed a green apple and sliced it to put on top. I'd throw an apple or two in there in the future (no one makes pickled apples, which would put it over the top). And an extra packet of dijon, as it was mostly mayo when the sauce was mixed. Other than that, quite tasty

I enjoyed these! Made a great quick lunch to take to work. I am not a fan of mustard so I simply left it out.

An amazing option for two lunches at work w/out having to buy all the fixin's. 10/10 would order again if it comes through the queue!
