Preheat oven to 375 degrees (350 degrees if using a nonstick baking sheet). Bring 4 TBSP butter to room temperature.
Combine cookie mix, softened butter, and 1 TBSP water in a medium bowl until dough forms. For each cookie, measure out 1 TBSP dough; roll to form a ball. Place on a baking sheet 2 inches apart.
Bake until edges are golden brown, 10-12 minutes. Let cool on sheet for 2 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
