Pita pockets: making portable food possible since...the beginning of recorded culinary history?! Our chefs ditched the ole cave fire for a stove and swapped the spit-roasted game for savory shawarma-spiced beef sautéed with plump golden raisins. It’s all tucked into a fluffy, warm pita pocket layered with quick-pickled red onion and a tangy lemon cream sauce. With a side of crunchy blue corn chips for swiping up any tasty loose ends, you’re good to go (or stay)—no hunting and gathering required!

Open and drain tofu; press out excess water with paper towels. Halve crosswise, then stand tofu upright and halve vertically. Lay flat and cut into ¾-inch cubes.

Cook, stirring occasionally, until tofu is browned and heated through, 6-8 minutes.

Fill pita halves with tofu. Top with white sauce, pickled onion (draining first), and as much hot sauce as you like.
Divide pitas between plates. Serve with tortilla chips and any remaining lemon wedges on the side.

Flavor was great and loved the tofu option. The crunch of the cucumber, freshness of lemon, and sweetness of the raisins really balanced the flavor and textures.
Surprised by this one. Seemed a little boring and putting ketchup in the tofu scared me but the flavors are fantastic can't wait to recreate this recipe. HelloFresh does it again!
500,000,000 stars - simple, quick, and entirely delicious! Loved the tofu as it is far less greasy and heavy than beef! Will definitely order again!
This was really good. I subbed my own protein. I used the Beyond steak tips and it turned out sooo good! I wish hello fresh would offer some different vegan protein choices like this besides tofu!
I was surprised by how good this is! I didn't expect tofu to taste so yummy, and for its texture to not bother me. The flavors were good too.
Taste bit strong enough. Pita pocket was too thin on one side, making it hard to use as a pocket.
It was great but didn't like the chips they didn't go with the meal well
