These mozzarella-stuffed meatballs are the perfect protein-packed snack for kids! They’re also pretty darn good for grown-ups too. Just roast ’em, dip ’em in marinara, and pop ’em in your mouth. You can even add them to your favorite pasta dish or double the recipe and serve them as an app (additional ingredients not included!). *Nutrition values are representative of a 1/2 bundle serving.*
9 ounce
Sweet Italian Pork Sausage
¼ cup
Panko Breadcrumbs
(Contains: Wheat)
5 ounce
Marinara Sauce
2 ounce
Mozzarella Cheese
(Contains: Milk)
1 teaspoon
Cooking Oil
Adjust rack to top position and preheat oven to 425 degrees. In a medium bowl, gently combine sausage, panko, and cheese. Form into 10-12 1-inch meatballs. Place meatballs on a lightly oiled baking sheet. Roast on top rack until browned and cooked though, 12-14 minutes. Serve with marinara on the side for dipping.
Recipe Suggestion: Want to make mini meatballs? Use a tablespoon measure to form them, then roast for 8-10 minutes.
Pork Sausage is fully cooked when internal temperature reaches 160°.
Holy cow these were good. We served them with the tortellini meal and they were probably the best meatballs we've ever had. I'm definitely going to be making this again.
I would eat these every day. So tasty, easy, and good. I make them with sweet potatoes to make it a meal.
So good! I'd suggest pan browning before or after time in the oven for a little crispiness if you like. Made the cheese toasty!
Tasty, easy, and don't need to constantly watch it. Kids could make it. I did mine in the airfryer.
Kids devoured them. I didn't even get to try one other than the little remnant left stuck to the baking sheet.
There isn't anything I didn't like about these. It was quick and delicious. I had the leftovers for breakfast with eggs. :)
Makes for a quick and filling main dish at family breakfast on a busy school morning
Recommend popping these babies into a stadium roll for a delicious MB poor boy
Love these! Want more BUT very greasy and would have been nicer on a rack maybe? I know how to handle but didn't see any instruction how to deal with sausage casings in place.....
These were ok. We used toasted hot dog buns with garlic butter and made meatballs subs. We wonder if the correct pork was sent with the shipment. The recipe calls for "Italian sausage mix," but we received links in casing, which was then mixed with just breadcrumbs and cheese, per the directions. Not overly flavorful, but we were able to enhance the dish.
