Our fresh spin on a Mediterranean street food mainstay, these falafel-stuffed tacos are drizzled with creamy parsley sauce and sprinkled with feta cheese and balsamic pickled onion and tomato veggies for bright, tangy flavors. It all comes together so fast—less than 20 minutes from kitchen to table— that it’ll be a wrap before you know it!

Produced in a facility that processes eggs, milk, fish, peanuts, sesame, shellfish, soy, tree nuts, and wheat.

Cooking Steps

Prep
1

• Wash and dry produce. • Halve, peel, and thinly slice half the onion (whole onion for 4 servings). Halve tomato lengthwise and thinly slice into half-moons. Peel and mince garlic. Mince parsley. • Halve falafel.

Pickle Onion & Tomato
2

• In a small microwave-safe bowl, combine sliced onion, vinegar, and ½ tsp sugar (1 tsp for 4 servings). Cover with plastic wrap; microwave 30 seconds. • Stir in tomato, garlic, and half the parsley. Season with salt and pepper. Refrigerate until ready to use in Step 6.

Cook Falafel
3

• Heat a drizzle of oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add falafel and cook until golden and crispy, 2-3 minutes per side.

Warm Tortillas
4

• While falafel cooks, wrap tortillas in damp paper towels and microwave until warm and pliable, 30 seconds.

Make Parsley Sauce
5

• In a second small bowl, combine sour cream and remaining parsley. Lightly season with salt and pepper. • Add water 1 tsp at a time until mixture reaches a drizzling consistency.

Serve
6

• Divide tortillas between plates and fill with falafel. Drizzle with half the parsley sauce. Top with balsamic onion and tomato (draining first) and sprinkle with feta. Drizzle with remaining parsley sauce and serve.

Review summary

Updated on Dec 2025
  • Flavor: Many loved the unique blend of Mediterranean and Mexican flavors, though some found it bland and suggested adding extra herbs or spices.
  • Ease of prep: Quick and easy to make, with several appreciating the convenience of pre-made falafel for a fast meal.
  • Suggestions: Consider adding cucumber, hummus, or tzatziki for extra freshness and moisture. Some preferred pita bread over tortillas for authenticity.
  • Portions: Several felt there wasn't enough falafel to adequately fill all six tacos; adding a side dish like rice could make it more substantial.
  • Texture: Some found the falafel dry or crumbly; air frying or careful pan-frying can help achieve a crispy exterior.

Great tacos loved the tomatoes and onions with balsamic. Easy prep and layering when serving. Only thing is the falafel crumbled a lot in skillet. Very hearty dish.

Just okay. I love falafel but found this to be too spicy. Interesting to have feta (which I do love) instead of tzatziki, and would have preferred the latter.

Very tasty blend of flavors, easy to cook. I recommend adding the veggies to grill with the falafel after pickling them. I think it's much tastier.

The falafel is delicious, I wish it weren't an upcharge in so many menus! I added chopped cucumber as well.

Wished the falafels weren't so dry but I loved the flavor! This was a wonderful dish that I hope will continue on.

These were really delicious and a solid portion size but the falafel is not the best quality - it's very coarse and dry. If there was better quality falafel this would have been perfect.

Instead of having pickled onions we decided to cook them with the tomato and balsamic vinegar. For me personally, it was a better option since I am not a fan of pickled onions.
