The easiest way to add tons of restaurant-level flair to a dish with almost no effort? Two words: compound butter. For chefs, this ingredient is the ultimate secret weapon to making can’t-put-your-fork-down meals. Here, we’ve mixed softened butter with honey and salt. It’s dolloped onto warm, BBQ-spiced pork chops. The sweet, savory, slightly smoky combo is guaranteed to delight. Once you try a bite, don’t be surprised when you find yourself making excuses to whip it up again!

Produced in a facility that processes eggs, milk, fish, peanuts, sesame, shellfish, soy, tree nuts, and wheat.

Cooking Steps

Prep
1

• Wash and dry produce (except green beans). • Peel and dice sweet potatoes into ½-inch pieces. Zest and quarter lemon.

Mash Sweet Potatoes
2

• Place sweet potatoes in a medium pot with enough salted water to cover by 2 inches. Cover, bring to a boil, and cook until tender, 15-20 minutes. • Drain and return sweet potatoes to pot. Add sour cream and ½ TBSP butter (1 TBSP for 4 servings); mash until smooth. Season with salt and pepper. • Keep covered off heat until ready to serve.

Make Honey Butter
3

• While sweet potatoes cook, place 2 TBSP butter (4 TBSP for 4 servings) in a small microwave-safe bowl; microwave until softened, 10-15 seconds. • Stir in honey and a pinch of salt.

Cook Pork
4

• Pat pork dry with paper towels. Season lightly with salt and pepper, then rub all over with BBQ Seasoning. • Heat a drizzle of oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add pork and cook until browned and cooked through, 4-6 minutes per side.

Swap in chicken for pork. Cook until cooked through, 4-6 minutes per side.

Cook Green Beans
5

• While pork cooks, pierce green bean bag with a fork; place bag on a plate. Microwave until tender, 1-2 minutes. TIP: No microwave? No problem! Steam green beans in a small pot with a splash of water until just tender, 5-7 minutes. • Carefully transfer green beans to a medium bowl and toss with lemon zest, ½ TBSP butter, a squeeze of lemon juice, and a big pinch of salt and pepper.

Finish & Serve
6

• Divide mashed sweet potatoes and green beans between plates. Top mashed sweet potatoes with pork. Dollop pork with honey butter and sprinkle with chili flakes if desired. • Serve with remaining lemon wedges on the side.

Chicken is fully cooked when internal temperature reaches 165°.

This meal was super good! I was unsure about the potatoes at first, but they were so delicious. I do want to mention that they were not the color shown in the picture more of a muddled purple-gray and not the prettiest but the flavor was spot on, so I didn't mind at all. The honey butter BBQ chicken was awesome, perfectly sweet and savory, and the green beans tasted fresh. Overall, I loved this meal and will definitely order it again!

The chicken was delicious. The seasoning and honey butter were flavorful and so enjoyable together! The green beans tasted good but they had giant stems on them. Instructions said to cook them in the bag (no trimming). The sweet potatoes had good flavor but were very stringy which ruined the texture and made it unpleasant to eat. Adding nutmeg, cinnamon, or other spices to the sweet potatoes gives them much better flavor, so I'd recommend adding that!

I've never had sour cream in Mashed Potatoes before now, but it was delicious! I was pleasantly surprised with the extra flavor it added and will be doing it in the future now! Chicken was amazing, very juicy, the BBQ flavor with the honey butter was great. If I get this recipe in the future I will most likely cook the green beans for a little longer, but the flavor was still perfect.

All was very good in terms of taste and ease to prepare. But the mashed potatoes was still too dry and not as creamy, so I had to add more butter and starchy water at the end. Lemon zest on green beans was really nice touch. The chicken meat was a great piece to cook with

My honey wasn't included in the package but fortunately I had some in the cupboard. This was delicious! Great balance of hot and sweet. The sweet potatoes came out perfectly, as did the green beans. One of my favorite recipes yet because every piece of the meal complimented the other quite nicely.

I really liked the sweet potatoes (I left out the butter and only put half the sour cream and they were delicious). The chicken flavor was great and the honey butter went well with it(only needed half the butter). The green beans were pretty bad due to microwaving them. They didn't cook very well and had a rough texture. Next time I'd roast them or saute them.

Surprisingly tasty. Lemony string beans were great, and bbq'd chicken with butter/honey drizzle was very good.

Love the sweet potato mashed this way. Not a huge fan before. Love the honey butter added to the chicken. So yummy.

This was tasty. We liked the honey butter. The purple sweet potatoes have a different texture than the orange ones and it wasn't my favorite, but they tasted good because I add the honey butter on top.

The honey butter cut the spiciness of the bbq chicken perfectly, this was delicious!
