All you have to do is hollow out this loaf of bread and bake it so the bowl holds its shape after you add the hot soup. Sourdough Bread Bowl

Adjust rack to middle position and preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Cut a 2-4-inch circle into the top of the loaf and remove. Scoop out the inside of the bread to create a bowl (use soft bread to dip in soup or save for another use).
Brush inside of bread bowl with 1 TBSP olive oil or melted butter; bake on middle rack until lightly toasted and warmed through, 7-8 minutes.
These were great! I had put them in the freezer to use later. Just pulled them out and used them with the broccoli cheddar soup. The bowls were moist & delicious inside, while the outside crust was light & flaky. Perfect!
We love everything about them. I made soup from a couple of orders back for a 2nd time (my own ingredients) and added to the breadbowls. Outstanding! Maybe breadbowls could be added to other soup recipes.
I made my own creamy potato soup and it was so good in this bread bowl. Awesome!
The bread bowl is an absolute favorite. Delicious! And so easy with the instructions on the packaging.
My son got such a kick out of these. We served them with chili. He loved the idea of eating his bowl.

One of the bowls was a little shallow - maybe squashed in shipping? So it was hard to create a decent sized scooped out area. The bread bowl broke vertically in 3 places. Was still good, but messy.
Tasty, but it sort of crumbled apart when making the bowl... will try again!
I anticipated two for the two serving meal, but other than that, super good
Would be better if scored to make cutting it easier
