• Wash and dry produce. Dice tomato into 1⁄2-inch pieces. • Melt half the garlic herb butter in a medium pot (large pot for 4 servings) over medium- high heat. Add diced tomato, tomato paste, and Tuscan Heat Spice. Cook, stirring, until fragrant, 30-60 seconds. • Add Vidalia onion paste, stock concentrates, and 3 cups water (6 cups for 4). Bring to a boil, then cover and reduce to a low simmer.

• Meanwhile, remove and discard any large stems from kale. • Once soup is simmering, add tortelloni to pot. Cook, stirring occasionally, 2 minutes. • Add kale; stir to combine. Return soup to a simmer and cook, stirring occasionally, until tortelloni are tender and kale has wilted, 1-3 minutes. TIP: Increase heat if necessary to maintain a simmer. • Taste and season with salt and pepper if desired.

• Meanwhile, halve and toast ciabatta. Spread cut sides of bread with remaining garlic herb butter; halve on a diagonal. • Divide soup between bowls; top each bowl with a drizzle of olive oil. Serve with garlic bread on the side.
My family loved it. It was a very flavorful and filling soup! It was nutritious with the kale and hearty with the tortellini! We loved the garlic buttered ciabatta toast that was a great accompaniment! A five star winner!🏅
For how simple this is to make it tastes very good! Robust in flavor and the cheese tortellini cook up very well in this recipe. Not too soggy and not too dense.
Very delicious broth. Loved that the kale was pre chopped and ready. There was a lot of it! Relatively easy. Also liked the pasta cooked in the broth.
This soup was great. Flavorful and hearty. We subbed in spinach for the kale. Please make substituting spinach for the kale an option on your menu so we don't have to make multiple trips to the grocery store.
I wouldn't have liked this had I used the tuscan heat spice, since I don't like spicy food. So instead I used Italian seasoning, which it should come with instead. I also added carrots and celery, as I didn't want to use all of the kale... But even if I had added all the kale, I would've felt like this soup needed other vegetables. Other than that, it was very good and I was surprised there was enough for 2 with only a 9 oz package of tortellini!
Oddly enough the portion is too large, of course the "tortellonis" are large but there was so much kale that I had to use more water than the instructions instructed to use. The garlic bread is simple and I feel more confident with dishes that involve toasted bread. Great meal, just really large portions.
Kale is not generally my favorite, I would have preferred spinach. That said, I was amazed at the depth of flavor that developed in such a short time. The broth was delicious, tortelloni pillowy and cheesy. The ciabatta garlic toast was a nice addition too!
I feel like there should have been more fresh vegetables in this soup. Also, IMO, the tortellini is too big for a soup. Would like it better if smaller, dried tortellini was used. Flavor was good though and the kale was fresh and crisp.
This was really good! I thought there was too much kale though, and not enough liquid. But we ate all the leftovers, even though it was less soup and more entree by the next day
Super tasty! I substituted a ripe tomato for the one that came with the box which was very hard and unripe! It is just now starting to look ripe after sitting on my counter for almost a week! The rest of the ingredients were very tasty and it made a great, tomatoey soup with the cheese tortellini's!
