This!!!! Oh my goodness this has been my absolute favorite recipe. I prefer savory over sweet so I was hesitant with this meal. The combination of the fig jelly in this mozzarella prosciutto sandwich was really having me doubt the taste of this dish. But, you can't knock it till you try it. Savory met sweetness and it was deliciously paired perfectly with a drizzle of balsamic vinaigrette. I could eat this daily.
I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this. I was a little hesitant on the fig jam. (I am not much of a jam fan) but this was really good, it complemented the prosciutto quite well. The fresh mozzarella was the perfect addition. And who doesn't love fresh greens with a balsamic dressing. Ciabatta is not one of my favorite breads but it worked well for this sandwich. Another winner.
Deceptively simple, and so easy to make, but the flavors are amazing! I grilled this sandwich instead of toasting which made the fresh mozz, fig jam and prosciutto all melty and warm. Also grilled some green onions and added garlic. I would highly recommend adding variations to this recipe as suggestions for home chefs.
This was delicious and would definitely order again and again! I'm shocked I liked this as much as I did. The fig jam has a nice sweet flavor and the basalmic vinegar balanced it out beautifully and of course the prosciutto and fresh mozzarella were delicious as well. It took as long to make as it took the assemble the sandwich
I was pleasantly surprised with the fig and balsamic vinegar flavor combo. The mozzarella was excellent and the prosciutto having no nitrates was A++. Great job on this one.
I had a hunch I would like this. The fig jam goes so well with the prosciutto. Having the fresh mozzarella and the greens with a warm, toasty ciabatta makes it all work together perfectly!
Yum, this was a gourmet deli style sandwich-quick and easy prep! The rich cheese and salty prosciutto paired perfectly with the sweet fig jam, all tied together with the peppery arugula salad. Win!
The combination of the creamy mozzarella and prosciutto with the sweetness of the fig spread made for a delicious sandwich.
Fig jam was too sweet and overpowering. I ended up eating the mozzarella, prosciutto and greens with balsamic separately, without the bread. A balsamic glaze would have fit better as a sandwich spread
Good clean flavors. Loved the fresh mozzarella. You could really taste the difference. The fig jam added a nice subtle sweetness. Would have loved more prosciutto.
