Cooking Steps

1

FRY:

  1. Heat 1 TBSP cooking oil in a large pan over high heat. Add gyoza, flat sides down, and ⅓ cup water (be careful of splatter!); cover and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium and cook until water evaporates and bottoms are crispy, 5-6 minutes.
  2. Serve with gyoza sauce on the side for dipping.
2

BOIL:

  1. Bring a medium pot of water to a boil. (Swap in chicken broth for water if you have some on hand!)
  2. Add gyoza and cook until warmed through, 3 to 5 minutes.
  3. Serve with gyoza sauce on the side for dipping.
3

MICROWAVE:

  1. Place gyoza on a microwave-safe plate and cover with a wet paper towel.
  2. Microwave until warmed through, 1 to 2 minutes.
  3. Serve with gyoza sauce on the side for dipping.

The gyoza themselves were very good and I really liked their flavor and texture, but I had to fix the dipping sauce because it was too sweet and kind of bland. After fixing the sauce I really enjoyed these dumplings.

These are really good. However, I find that the instructions weren't very helpful. I still managed to get the gyoza stuck to the bottom of my pan. They ripped open. I'm not sure what I did wrong.

My husband eat these with Ramen noodles and it makes a great meal. We add scallions, sesame and a little light soy sauce and sauté everything in a pan. Delicious!

Awesome and filling. Instead of having this as an appetizer we had it as a light dinner. It was very tasty.

The ginger sauce is great! I love these for a light lunch with a bowl of miso soup.

The gyoza needed some veggies, something inside with color. Beige all the way through isn't visually appealing. Grated carrots, green onion, bell pepper, black mushroom, something.
