How do you make a cheeseburger more fun? Skip the bun! These lettuce wraps feature all the classic burger fixin’s you love, stuffed inside romaine for a crunchy twist. First, ground beef is cooked with melty cheddar, then the filling is nestled into lettuce leaves and topped with crispy fried onions, chopped pickles, and special sauce. Yep, this lettuce wrap is one of those things you’ll have to see to be-leaf!

Produced in a facility that processes eggs, milk, fish, peanuts, sesame, shellfish, soy, tree nuts, and wheat.

Cooking Steps

Prep
1

• Wash and dry produce. • Trim and discard root end from lettuce; separate leaves. Thinly slice 1-2 small center leaves until you have 1⁄3 cup shredded lettuce (2⁄3 cup for 4 servings). Drain pickle; roughly chop.

Make Sauce
2

• In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, half the mustard, and 1⁄2 tsp Fry Seasoning (you’ll use more in the next step). (For 4 servings, use all the mustard and 1 tsp Fry Seasoning.) Stir in water 1 tsp at a time until sauce reaches a drizzling consistency. Set aside.

Cook Beef
3

• Heat a drizzle of oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add beef*, remaining Fry Seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook, breaking up meat into pieces, until browned and almost cooked through, 3-5 minutes. • Stir in stock concentrate and 1⁄4 cup water (1⁄3 cup for 4 servings). Cook, stirring, until liquid has absorbed and beef is cooked through, 2-3 minutes. TIP: If there’s excess grease in your pan, carefully pour it out. • Add half the cheese; stir until melted, 1 minute (save the rest for serving).

Finish & Serve
4

• Divide lettuce leaves between plates. Fill with beef mixture, pickle, shredded lettuce, crispy fried onions, remaining cheese, and special sauce. Serve.

Wasn't sure about the lettuce wrap, but love a good cheeseburger, so I tried it. Just absolutely fantastic, I loved it. The sauce, the pickle and the crunchy onions were all perfect additions. Nice job Chef.

This was super easy to make and it was a great meal for a hot day as it was all in one pan. I like the change of lettuce wraps instead of bread for the "cheeseburgers."

Good but can be greatly improved with addition of 1 onion and 1 tomato as follows: finely chop 3/4 of onion and add to pan with beef to brown together. Follow other steps as usual but at the end garnish the wraps with the remaining 1/4 of raw onion, thinly sliced, along with tomato, diced. Huge flavor boost and more like a cheeseburger!

This was difficult to eat even when I doubled up the lettuce leaves. My second meal I put each wrap on a piece of waxed paper to help contain the filling. Plus side delicious pickles and very easy to make only one cutting board and one pan to cook the beef mixture. I have a little left over and I think I will just make a salad with those

Delicious flavor and everyone loved the sauce! I love the lettuce wrap idea for a healthier choice but our kids aren't big lettuce wrap fans so we threw theirs in tortillas for cheeseburger burritos!

The Cheeseburger lettuce wraps are delicious. However, I would really prefer ground beef that isn't so high in fat. A 90/10 ground beef would be a lot healthier.

Very good. Still filling and hearty with seasoned beef and cheese, but fresh and crisp as a lettuce wrap. The pickles made the dish.
