Although I added a healthy dash or two of my own Cajun seasoning, the meal was delicious and fresh with the cornbread being as good as homemade once heated up. Hope to see it again soon!
Came premade so it was easy to just stick it in the oven but I think that this is what made it unappealing as well. The rice was too soft and the flavors were bland for a jambalaya. Needed more heat and infused flavors.
I liked this but Hubby wouldn't even taste it. I expected it to be more like soup or stew and it was like a casserole....not bad just expected it to be more stew like...the flavor was good. Shrimp were a little tough but that was to be expected. Cornbread was yummy.
When it says spicy, it's definitely spicy! Also wish there was more than just one piece of cornbread, that was delicious!
Overall I loved this recipe. My only complaint is that the cornbread doesn't come out of its container very well. It pretty much crumbled. But it was tasty crumbs!
Tasted very good and was easy to heat up. Really should have had a whole Cornbread square for each serving, so 2 cornbread squares for 2 servings.
It was almost 4 stars. I didn't care for the andouille, the skin was too thick. Wish there had been a whole cornbread for each serving. Like the low calories.
Spicy! Ready made can't adjust the spice. But if you like spicy, then this is your pick. I added more rice to try to tone-down the spice.
The flavor was delicious. All of the ingredients were incorporated well and complimented each other. The only issue we had with the meal is the rice came out very mushy. It broke apart into tiny pieces and mixed with the sauce kind of became a mushy paste with meat. I cooked the tray per instructions so I'm not sure what happened.
Huge fan of the ready to cook meals! This one was very delicious!
