Toast: It’s the best thing since sliced bread. Though obviously delicious all on its own, it gets even better in the hands of our talented chefs. Sliced sourdough is toasted until golden, then spread with creamy maple ricotta. On top is a layer of sweet cherry jam, plus dried cherries and crunchy, buttery cashews. Garnish these sumptuous slices with a sprinkle of lemon zest, and serve with fresh apple slices on the side. This, friends, is truly a toast with the most.

• Wash and dry produce.
• Zest and quarter lemon. Roughly chop cashews. Halve, core, and cut apple into ¼-inch-thick slices.
• In a small bowl, combine dried cherries, 1 TBSP water, and a squeeze of lemon juice (2 TBSP water and a big squeeze of lemon juice for 4 servings); cover with plastic wrap and microwave for 30 seconds. Remove plastic wrap and pour off liquid. Set aside until ready to serve.
• Toast bread.
• In a second small bowl, whisk together ricotta, cream cheese, maple syrup, ¼ tsp Warming Spice Blend (½ tsp for 4 servings), and a pinch of salt until combined. (Be sure to measure the Warming Spice Blend; we sent more!)
• Spread ricotta mixture on toasts; top with cherry jam, drained cherries, cashews, and lemon zest.
• Divide toasts between plates and serve with apple slices on the side.
This should be a hall of fame contender...the ricotta/cream cheese/warming spices is an absolute winner! I could spread that mixture on a shoe and it would be delicious! What an amazing lunch or brunch. Truly satisfying portion with SO much flavor. The cashews give it a great crunch. Love the cherries too!! Don't change a thing - this is perfect.
Love this! I don't have a wide enough toaster for the bread so I "toasted" it in a skillet with some butter. The flavor of the ricotta cream goes very well with that buttery crispness. A few more cherries and cashews would be great but, I'm not complaining.
This was so delicious! The ricotta with the sweetness of the maple syrup and the cinnamon spice added was perfection. I hope it stays in the rotation 🩷
Needed more cherries and more raspberry jam. I substituted additional cashews and we ended up topping it with the apple slices. Great flavors! I was concerned it would be too sweet but it wasn't at all.
No instruction sheet included. Weird portions. There's still two slices of bread left for another meal, enough cheese, for a whole loaf, but nothing else. Real skimpy nuts, cherries, and jam. Of course I ate the whole apple! :) you can't cut up and apple and leave half for later. I also have more cherries, nuts and jam on hand, just strange that there's so much cheese left and not enough of anything else. Really good though, I'd order again. :)
I like these quick and easy late breakfast, early lunch type meals. Sauce was good and I added the apples right on top of the toast.
I thoroughly enjoyed these toasts. They were very easy and quick to prepare. I am having the second serving for lunch today as I enjoyed them so much for breakfast. I would like to see more of these
The cream cheese base was runnier than I would have liked. If I made this again, I would just drizzle the maple syrup on top at that end, rather than mixing it into the cream cheese mixture.
It's tasty, creamy, nutty and sweet from the cherries. It tastes like Christmas.
Very delicious and not overly sweet or tart. Wonderful balance of flavors
