• Wash and dry produce.
• Halve, peel, and thinly slice onion. Halve, core, and thinly slice green pepper into strips.
• In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, sour cream, and half the garlic powder (you’ll use the rest later). Season with salt and pepper.
• Halve and toast ciabattas.
• Heat a large drizzle of oil in a large, preferably nonstick, pan over medium-high heat. Add onion, green pepper, and chicken (snip the upper corner of the package and carefully drain liquid before adding chicken to pan). Stir in remaining garlic powder, 2 tsp Italian Seasoning (4 tsp for 4 servings), and salt. (Be sure to measure the Italian Seasoning—we sent more!) Cook, stirring occasionally and breaking up meat into pieces, until veggies are softened and lightly browned and chicken is warmed through, 5-7 minutes.
• During the last minute of cooking, sprinkle Parmesan and Monterey Jack over chicken and veggie mixture. Cover pan; cook until cheeses melt, 30-60 seconds.
• Spread creamy garlic sauce over cut sides of toasted ciabattas. Pile chicken and veggie mixture on bottom halves of ciabattas; close sandwiches. Cut sandwiches on a diagonal and divide between plates. Serve.
Really amazing and easy lunch! Hellofresh always manages not only to make something good, but to go the extra step to also make it interesting. They could have just said to heat the precooked chicken and put it on the sandwich, but instead it got cooked with the peppers and extra seasonings to make it INCREDIBLE
Creamy sauce with tender chicken...whoever created this recipe deserves a raise! I loved every bite of these chicken sandwiches & they were everything I could have hoped for in a sammie!
The green pepper was a little wilty on the top but it was still usable. These are delicious sandwiches, even the kids loved them!
This recipe has been one of my favorites. Will definitely get this again. Easy to make and tastes like a chicken Philly.
This recipe is my favorite so far! I liked everything about it. We did accidentally freeze the bread and peppers and had to thaw them, which caused the bread to be a little hard. Still tastes great, and I would order again.
Loved this dish a lot! One recommendation I have is to add 1/2 tsp of sugar to the garlic sauce, it gives it a wonderful balance with all the salty flavors of the sandwich.
This was surprisingly good. I didn't know what to expect with the precooked chicken but it was easy and tasty.
These sandwiches were delicious! I loved the garlic Mayo sauce and all the flavors! However, I've been really disappointed with the amount of meat you've been sending for a family of 4. It's just not enough and I've been having to buy my own meat to stretch these meals further.
Very good. I liked the garlic sauce but I needed a ton more sauce for the amount of bread in the sandwich. The chicken was great
The sous vide chicken was not cooked all of the way through like it says on the package. I was expecting an actual green bell pepper 🫑, not the long pepper that was included in the kit.
