Cooking Steps

Prep
1

• Wash and dry produce. • Place sealed honey packet in a small bowl of warm water to soften. • Trim and discard root end from lettuce; chop leaves into bite-size pieces. Trim and halve cucumber lengthwise; slice crosswise into 1⁄4-inch-thick half-moons. Trim scallions. Cut scallion whites crosswise into 1-inch pieces; thinly slice greens.

Cook Shrimp
2

• Rinse shrimp* under cold water; pat dry with paper towels. Season all over with salt and pepper. • Heat a large drizzle of oil in a large pan over high heat. Once pan is very hot, add shrimp and scallion whites. Cook, stirring occasionally, until shrimp are opaque and cooked through and scallions are slightly charred, 3-4 minutes. TIP: Lower heat if scallions begin to brown too quickly. • In the last minute of cooking, stir in peanuts. Cook, stirring, until lightly browned. Remove from heat; stir in honey until fully coated. Season with salt and pepper if desired.

Dress Salad
3

• In a large bowl, toss together lettuce, cucumber, carrots, and sesame dressing. Taste and season with salt and pepper.

Finish & Serve
4

• Divide salad between bowls. Top with shrimp and wonton strips. Garnish with scallion greens and serve.

Shrimp are fully cooked when internal temperature reaches 145°.

This was good, and I liked that there were peanuts and wonton strips for crunch and flavor. I added diced celery to the scallion whites when I sauteed the shrimp, and some chopped broccoli to the salad for a real veg serving since it was basically only lettuce and a tiny bit of shredded carrot. Why not include some bok choy, or edamame or something to liven up boring lettuce? That would have been 4 stars.

This is my husband's favorite dish since we've started Hello Fresh. He said "This gets a 100% in my book!" He likes the shrimp dishes in general but he loves the honey-sesame sauce and the crunch of the wontons!

This was really good. But I received 4x the carrots than lettuce? I liked the extra sesame dressing and honey on the shrimp.

Partner not a "salad" person but he enjoyed it too. I loved the wonton strip crunch, the flavors, and liked having such a healthy tasty shrimp dish that would be something I'd order in a restaurant!

Great for a light dinner after a heavy lunch. Very tasty. Was able to incorporate several items that I keep on hand. I added apples, tomatoes, sweet peppers, black olives, plus additional peanuts and honey to the shrimp. It made enough for 2 additional guest. Always nice for the unexpected company.

This was really good. I was hesitant to use the honey because we don't always like sweet stuff but I trusted the recipe and I'm glad I did- was not overly sweet at all, just created a mouthwatering flavor. Would absolutely cook shrimp that way myself in the future!

Tasty salad! This time around I added a can of baby corns to the pan with the shrimp and it was even better!

This needed WAY more lettuce and shrimp. There ought to be an option for adding additional shrimp, and lettuce is CHEAP. I've no idea why the order had such a paltry amount. The recipe itself was delicious.
