Cooking Steps

1

FIGGY POP (for 1 Drink):

Wash and dry produce. Using a peeler, peel one 2-inch strip of orange zest. Halve one orange. Juice orange over a cocktail shaker or glass until you have 2 ounces of juice. Add half the jam; stir to combine. Add ice and 3 ounces Doc Pop; stir until chilled, 5-10 seconds. Strain into a rocks glass filled with ice. Hold zest over drink (orange-side facing drink) and twist to release citrus oils. Garnish with zest.

2

FRESH FALL SMASH (for 1 Drink):

Wash and dry produce. Thinly slice half the apple. Halve lemon. Peel and grate ¼ tsp ginger. Juice lemon over a cocktail shaker or glass until you have ½ ounce juice. Add ginger, half the hot honey, and 2 apple slices. Using the end of a wooden spoon, muddle the apple-ginger mixture, stirring as you go. Add 3 ounces Doc Pop; stir to dissolve honey. Add ice and stir until chilled, 5-10 seconds. Strain into a coupe glass. Stack 3 apple slices and fan out; float over top of drink to garnish.

  • Flavor: Many loved the mocktails, with the orange-based Figgy Pop reminding some of an Old Fashioned 🍹.
  • Ease of prep: Some found the preparation a bit involved for the small serving size.
  • Suggestions: Consider making larger batches to enjoy with dinner. For an extra twist, try adding a smoky flavor to the Figgy Pop.
