We’re always up for a sweet and savory dinner pairing, and these genre-defying tacos are just that. Chicken breast strips are cooked in a sweet soy glaze until the glaze is sticky and the chicken is tender. They’re stuffed into steamy tortillas, along with a tangy, cilantro-flecked cabbage slaw. Of course, we’d never skip out on taco toppings, and these ones don’t disappoint: There’s creamy, spicy sriracha mayo and crispy fried onions. It’s all ready in just 15 minutes—life is sweet (and savory), friends.

• Wash and dry produce. • Roughly chop cilantro. Halve, core, and thinly slice green pepper. • In a medium bowl, toss together cabbage, half the vinegar (all for 4 servings), half the cilantro, 1 tsp sugar (2 tsp for 4), and a pinch of salt until thoroughly combined.

• Heat a drizzle of oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add green pepper and cook, stirring, until slightly softened, 2-3 minutes. • Add beef* and season with salt and pepper. Cook, breaking up meat into pieces, until browned and cooked through, 4-6 minutes. • Stir in 2½ TBSP sweet soy glaze (5 TBSP for 4 servings) and ½ tsp sugar (1 tsp for 4). (TIP: Be sure to measure the sweet soy glaze—we sent more.) Cook until everything is coated and glaze has thickened, 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat.

• Meanwhile, in a small bowl, combine mayonnaise with Sriracha to taste. Season with salt and pepper. • Wrap tortillas in damp paper towels and microwave until warm and pliable, 30 seconds.

• Divide tortillas between plates and fill with beef stir-fry and slaw (draining first). Top with Sriracha mayo, crispy fried onions, and remaining cilantro. Serve.
Ground Beef is fully cooked when internal temperature reaches 160º.
Loved the soy sauce added to the beef! The sriracha mayo combined with the tangy slaw and crispy onions were a perfect combo!
Who doesn't like tacos? This was a very flavorful dish. Loved the slaw on top, nice and crispy. The beef was quick to cook. Not as spicy as I like, but I have those condiments on hand. Three tacos was just enough for each of us. Left us fully satiated. Two would have left us a little hungry. (we are not big portion eaters) It took about 20 minutes to put together.
I loved every bit of this. I had three tacos, and my daughter had a whole taco too. My son just ate the crispy onions and a bit of the cabbage mixture. My husband had four tacos. I'd only mixed a few drops of sriracha into the mayo so it wouldn't be too spicy for the kids but would still be flavorful, and it was perfect.
I love the idea behind this quick and easy stir fry taco dinner. I wish the cabbage slaw had a little bit more going on in terms of flavor (I would have been open to spending a little bit more time cooking for a more true quick pickle). I don't think this dish needed the crispy fried onions--I would have preferred to cook real onions to add more flavor to the beef.
Made Spanish rice on the side - might suggest as a side. Do not like the chili pepper - used generic green pepper. Cooked green pepper and onion into the meat. Really liked the sweet soy glaze - really perked up the meat. Cooked the cilantro into the meat instead of using it as a topping. Added cheese, sour cream, lettuce and chopped tomato on the tacos. Did not use the suggested sauce - use taco sauce instead.
We were pleasantly surprised with how good these tacos were! Never would have thought a taco that was sweet would taste so good! The slaw and crispy fried onions give it the perfect crunch, and the sriracha Mayo pairs perfectly with the sweet flavors 😋
Another favorite! Such a great twist on tacos. The flavors are amazing, The slaw was fantastic, the crunchy onions brought it all together. Really really great recipe!
Absolutely delicious! The best tacos we have had to date! We love the sauce and everything this recipe offers from the flour tortillas to the crispy onions to the pickled slaw. Home run!
This was an odd recipe. Not a huge fan. The crispy onions are a weird touch, as well as the mayo-sriracha sauce. It's missing lime or even lemon, which would have topped this off and made it better! I also want to add that while I appreciate the portions have gotten better with HelloFresh, the meat portions for the tacos is still not the best.
We love the tangy slaw in these tacos. Good quick easy Taco Tuesday meal.
