This is the same great HelloFresh recipe, now with instructions to divide tasks between two cooks if you'd like (it also still works for a solo chef!). Creating the perfect patty is like writing a hit song: Pack it with the right ingredients and it sings. Tonight’s patties open with ground beef, then build to a stunning chorus thanks to ginger, garlic, and soy sauce. And if you’re looking for that key change, we’ve got the sauce for you—a creamy ginger scallion aioli, sweet Thai chili sauce, and crispy fried onions. This meal wouldn't be complete without a side of sweet potato wedges to dip into any extra aioli. Now that’s a Top 40 burger!

1.12 tablespoon

(Contains: Soy, Wheat)
2 unit

(Contains: Wheat)
2 unit

Ginger
1 tablespoon (tbsp)
Cooking Oil
¼ teaspoon (tsp)
Sugar
teaspoon (tsp)
Salt
teaspoon (tsp)
Black Pepper

Adjust rack to top position and preheat oven to 425 degrees. Wash and dry produce.
Cut sweet potatoes into ½-inch-thick wedges. Toss on a baking sheet with a large drizzle of oil, salt, and pepper. Roast on top rack until tender and slightly crispy, 25-30 minutes.

Meanwhile, trim and mince scallions, separating whites from greens. Peel ginger and grate using a zester or the small holes of a box grater until you have ¾ tsp (1½ tsp for 4 servings). Peel and mince or grate garlic.

In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, scallion greens, ¾ tsp soy sauce, ¼ tsp grated ginger, ¼ tsp sugar, and a pinch of garlic (use 1½ tsp soy sauce, ½ tsp ginger, and ½ tsp sugar for 4 servings).

In a large bowl, gently combine beef*, scallion whites, half the remaining soy sauce (all for 4 servings), remaining grated ginger, and remaining garlic.
Form into two patties (four patties for 4), each slightly wider than a burger bun.

When sweet potatoes have 10 minutes left, heat a drizzle of oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add patties and cook to desired doneness, 3-5 minutes per side.
While patties cook, halve and toast buns.
Spread cut sides of buns with aioli (save some for dipping), then fill with patties, chili sauce, and crispy fried onions.
Divide burgers and sweet potato wedges between plates. Serve with remaining aioli on the side for dipping.
This burger, the wedges and that aioli were awesome and packed with flavor. The ingredients felt like they were good quality and it was at a level of flavor that I expected and would pay for again. For my daughter and me, this was lot of prep, nearly an hour. With us being disabled, it was really difficult for us to do anything else after dinner, but both of us felt it was worth it. Definitely a new fave in our house.
This was one of our favorite burgers. I sliced the sweet potatoes in half rounds instead of fries and baked as directed. Everything was easy to make and tasted great. Hubby commented that he liked the mayo sauce that you make with this
Second time having this meal. It's so good! I used the air fryer for the sweet potatoes and they actually turned out crunchy: 10 minutes at 350°, shake, then 10 minutes more
Our favorite so far. Flavor combination is delicious. I make the aioli all the time for a lot of things now. Will be a repeat option when available.
We didn't care for the flavor of the aioli, and it wasn't really necessary, since the burgers were already flavorful, and the mayo mix competed with the sweet chili sauce. Also, we ended up add cheese to keep the fried onions from falling off.
Just like a restaurant burger, so very good and tasty. More effort than I was hoping for but that's what I gotta do to get dlish from a hamburger. Thanks for the Thai spice. Awesome
The sweet potatoes were AMAZING and paired very well. We do recommend cutting the sweet potatoes more into French fries instead of wedges and cooking them in the air fryer. Much more crisp!
The end result was super delicious. The sidekick style instructions were a bit annoying and the meat is definitely low quality. I shouldn't have to smear the meat into patties. It was definitely more like meat paste instead of ground beef.
Loved the sous chef recipe card to have our 11yo help. Would love more of those! The chili sauce was amazing too!
Meal was delicious. The only thing I did not like were the crispy onions because they had a plasticky aftertaste.
