Adjust rack to middle position and preheat oven to 425 degrees.
Trim and discard woody bottom ends from asparagus.
Toss on a baking sheet with a drizzle of oil, salt, and pepper. Roast on middle rack until lightly browned and tender, 10-12 minutes. STOVETOP ALTERNATIVE: Heat a drizzle of oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add asparagus; season with salt and pepper. Cook, stirring, until lightly browned and tender, 3-5 minutes.
Recipe was quite basic. Tasted good because I love asparagus but would like more flavors. Would be nice to have an actual recipe for this rather than just bake with olive oil.
Actually I boiled the asparagus for 7 minutes instead of roasting because we like it best that way
The asparagus looked fresh and in good shape. They were even nicely trimmed.
Did not cook it for about 4 days but it was still fresh and crisp.

Very small portion for a separate side item. There is a larger portion included with the meals.
