Cooking Steps

1

Drain corn, then pat dry with paper towels. Trim and discard woody bottom ends from asparagus (cut any extra-large asparagus in half lengthwise). Cut asparagus on a diagonal into ½-inch pieces.

2

Heat a drizzle of oil and 1 teaspoon garlic herb butter in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add asparagus and a pinch of salt and pepper; cook, stirring occasionally, until lightly browned and almost tender, 2-3 minutes. Increase heat to high; add corn and another pinch of salt and pepper. Cook, stirring occasionally, until warmed through and fragrant, 2-3 minutes. (TIP: Cover pan with a lid if corn starts to pop!)

3

Remove from heat and stir in 3 TBSP garlic herb butter. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve.

4

Recipe Suggestion: Stir in grated Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley for an even more decadent side!

Updated on Dec 2025
  • Flavor: The garlic herb butter was phenomenal, adding bright freshness to this surprising combo of asparagus and corn 🌽.
  • Ease of prep: Quick and simple to make, perfect for busy days or as an easy side dish.
  • Suggestions: Consider adding chopped tomatoes for extra freshness, or grated Parmesan for richness. Adjust butter to taste.
  • Portions: Some found using half the corn was sufficient; save extra for another dish.
