Cut potatoes into ½-inch pieces. Place potatoes in a large pot with enough salted water to cover by 2 inches. Bring to a boil and cook until tender, 15-20 minutes. Reserve ½ cup potato cooking liquid, then drain.
Return potatoes to pot. Add truffle butter and mash until smooth, adding splashes of reserved potato cooking liquid as needed. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
When I ordered this, all indications were that it was pre-made, ready to heat up. Instead I received a bag of potatoes worth about a dollar and 2 packets of truffle butter. Lesson learned!
Not really a dislike, however, if the truffle butter was in a sauce or better yet a gravy it would have been a 5-star...
I don't generally like mashed potatoes but love truffles so this was a great combo for me
I was surprised the amount of potatoes I got and they were decent sized. I didn't not use the truffle butter wasn't brave enough
Potatoes were good quality. Unsure what value came from the truffle butter.
I liked the truffle butter but not as much as I thought I would
Wasn't a fan of the truffle butter. It gave it a weird aftertaste. I would like to see this with garlic butter maybe.
Yum! Made it easy I cook a holiday meal! Truffle butter made it special!
Guess I'm not a huge fan of truffle. I only used half of the recommended truffle butter, and still a bit strong.
Why send such small potatoes? Why not just send less potatoes but bigger ones that are easy to peel?? Plus, on each potato, I had to cut out bad spots. I would never buy those potatoes in the market.
