After you snack on these little pizzas, you’ll never question whether or not pineapple belongs on a pie (a pizza pie, that is). Buttery biscuit dough is rolled out into miniature pizza crusts, then topped with marinara, zucchini, pineapple, and mozzarella, and baked to melty golden-brown perfection. It’s the ultimate flavor combo: a little sweet, a little savory, and a whole lot of delicious. Nutrition values are representative of approximately 3.5 servings.
8 ounce
Zucchini
4 ounce
Pineapple
12 ounce
Buttermilk Biscuits
(Contains: Wheat)
2.5 ounce
Marinara Cup
2 ounce
Mozzarella Cheese
(Contains: Milk)
Adjust racks to top and middle positions and preheat oven to 375 degrees. Wash and dry produce. Line 2 baking sheets with foil and coat with nonstick cooking spray.
Trim and quarter zucchini lengthwise; cut crosswise into ½-inch-thick pieces. Drain pineapple.
Remove biscuit dough from package; place on a flat, lightly floured surface. Roll out each piece of dough into a 3-inch round. Place on prepared baking sheets. Evenly spread tops of dough rounds with marinara. Top with as much zucchini and pineapple as you like. Evenly sprinkle with mozzarella.
Bake pizzas on top and middle racks until dough is golden and cheese melts, 15-18 minutes.
RECIPE SUGGESTION (Additional ingredients not included.)
Feel free to add more of your favorite toppings! We like pepperoni, diced bell peppers, or sliced black olives
These tasted really good and were super easy to cook. Only thing that confused me was that there wouldn't have been enough cheese and sauce and toppings for 4 little pizzas. I was able to make 2 but then had an extra thing of the Pillsbury's crust.
These were a good snacky dinner, one of my children's favorite type of meals. Even the child who was weirded out by pineapple on pizza said we should make these again.
Easy to make and yummy. Felt more like 2 servings, and bottom rack would've been better off at 10 minutes or so. Extra sauce please!
I think if the dough is pre-baked for a few minutes, it would be better. It was a little raw in the middle. Other than that, I loved it!
These are very tasty, but I think more cheese and sauce need to be sent in the box with them.
We had to add more cheese. Seems like 4 oz would have been enough. Great kit for engaging the kiddo in helping!
Buttermilk biscuits were too big and fluffy and it just felt like eating mostly bread. Crescent rolls would have been better I think. Zucchini and pineapple were delicious!
Cool concept, worked well, zucchini was a strange pairing with pineapple
It needed more seasoning or spices. The bread was soft, moist, and flavorful.
I made these for my kiddos after school. Perfect snack.
