Charred broccoli drizzled with lemony Caesar dressing, sprinkled with crunchy garlic panko, and finished with generous shavings of Parmesan cheese is the star of this sheet pan show! It's served with a juicy roasted chicken cutlet and baked sweet potato burnished in the oven to sweet tenderness and dolloped with sour cream.

Produced in a facility that processes eggs, milk, fish, peanuts, sesame, shellfish, soy, tree nuts, and wheat.

Cooking Steps

Prep
1
  • Adjust racks to top and middle positions and preheat oven to 425 degrees. Wash and dry produce.

  • Cut broccoli into four wedges. (TIP: For even pieces that hold together, place the broccoli floret side down and cut through the stem. It's OK if some of the florets fall off; set them aside to roast too.) Halve sweet potato lengthwise. Pierce cut sides of sweet potato with a fork 4-5 times. Peel and mince or grate garlic. Zest and quarter lemon.

Roast Veggies
2
  • Place broccoli on one side of a baking sheet. Toss with a large drizzle of olive oilgarlic powdersalt, and pepper.

  • On empty side of same sheet, coat sweet potato with a large drizzle of olive oil; season all over with salt and pepper. Arrange cut sides down.

  • Roast on top rack until sweet potato is tender and broccoli is tender and lightly charred, 25-30 minutes.

Roast Chicken
3
  • Pat chicken* dry with paper towels and drizzle with oil. Season all over with Fry Seasoningsalt, and pepper.

  • Place chicken on a second baking sheet; roast on middle rack until golden brown and cooked through, 20-25 minutes.

Make Dressing
4
  • Meanwhile, in a small bowl, whisk together Caesar dressing, 1 tsp stock concentrate, lemon zest, and juice from one lemon wedge (2 tsp stock concentrate and juice from two lemon wedges for 4 servings)TIP: If you prefer a milder Caesar dressing, start with ¼ tsp stock concentrate or simply omit it!

Make Garlic Panko
5
  • Melt 1 TBSP butter (2 TBSP for 4 servings) in a small pan over medium-high heat. Add garlic and cook, stirring, until fragrant, 30-60 seconds.

  • Add panko; season with salt and pepper. Cook, stirring occasionally, until panko is golden brown and toasted, 3-5 minutes. Turn off heat and set aside.

Finish & Serve
6
  • Thinly slice chicken crosswise.

  • Divide chicken, sweet potato, and broccoli between plates. Top sweet potato with as much sour cream as you like. Drizzle broccoli with as much Caesar dressing as you like; top with garlic panko. Using a vegetable peeler, shave Parmesan over broccoli. Serve with any remaining lemon wedges and any remaining dressing on the side.

Review summary

Updated on Apr 2026
  • Flavor: The Caesar broccoli was the standout star with amazing, restaurant-quality flavor that surprised many customers. Some found the chicken bland and dry, while others noted the flavors didn't mesh well together.
  • Ease of prep: This sheet pan meal was praised for being simple and easy to make with great instructions. Some felt there were too many steps for the broccoli garnishes, making it feel overly complicated.
  • Suggestions: Cook chicken for less time or pan-sear instead of baking to prevent dryness. Start broccoli cooking later since it cooks faster than sweet potatoes to avoid burning.
  • Portions: The sweet potato was consistently too small for two people — many described it as tiny or child-sized.

The Caesar Broccoli was the clear star here - SO good, and not something I would have thought to do myself. My daughter commented on how yummy it was, and even my broccoli-hating husband ate the small portion I gave him. The chicken was a bit of a throwaway, and was quite dry. It may have been better with less cooking time and/or cooked in a pan. The sweet potatoes were also a bit bland, although they did bake nicely. Maybe honey butter to top them instead of sour cream?

Lots of steps and dishes but SO tasty. We really enjoyed a nice change, broccoli needs to be cut smaller so it will cook, the Caesar sauce was a win win, panko really added to the taste. Sweet potato needs to be larger or add a second small one. Chicken was a very small portion, disappointing.

I found the chicken and sweet potato kind of bland, but it was nice that it all basically cooked up on a single baking sheet and once I finished some light prep I could go sit down. I really, really liked the Caesar broccoli though. The next day I cut up the remaining sweet potato and mixed it in with the broccoli instead of having it by itself, and that was also really good.

Another delicious recipe! The Caesar broccoli was DYNOMITE! So yummy, we loved the flavor! The chicken was a little bland though being cooked in the oven. Next time I would pan sear it.

This combination of chicken, broccoli and sweet potato was fantastic. I love the way the potato was roasted - easy and tasty. And the broccoli with the sauce was amazing. Loved it.

All of the components on their own were great, but I'm not sure they fully go together. The broccoli Caesar would pair great with a marinara based dish, the sweet potato done like this would go great with any bbq style dish or bbq style sandwich. So yeah, it's all very good but seemed like different parts from different dishes.

Loved the crispy Caesar broccoli and sweet potatoes. Chicken a little dry but probably one of the best meals we have had (and we have had many meals from Hello Fresh)

Broccoli was AMAZING. Didn't really like the fry seasoning on the chicken. I thought sweet potato was a weird thing to pair with the meal but it worked quite well.

The portion for two people fed one. Tiniest cut of chicken (half breast cutlet), Tiniest sweet potato & literally one crown of broccoli that gave two pieces to share. But we had a ton of Caesar dressing 🤷🏻‍♀️Tastes were good but portions were not good.

Trying to shred that Parmesan was a pain - your picture doesn't show the teeny tiny block you sent - next just send shaved Parm please! Sweet potatoes were really good. Picture also showed 4 broccoli spears so not super accurate for what I got but that's OK. Generous serving of broccoli! Flavors were decent.
