⢠Halve baguettes lengthwise and toast.
⢠Heat a drizzle of oil in a medium pan over medium-high heat. Add meatballs and cook, stirring occasionally, until warmed through and browned all over, 3-5 minutes. Season with ½ tsp Italian Seasoning (1 tsp for 4 servings), salt, and pepper. (Be sure to measure the Italian Seasoning; we sent more!)
⢠Stir in marinara and a splash of water. Bring to a simmer and cook until sauce is warmed through, 30-60 seconds.
⢠Top bottom baguette halves with meatballs and sauce. Sprinkle meatballs with mozzarella. Close subs.
⢠Divide subs between plates and serve.
I think I would have liked more tomato sauce than marinara but that is a preference thing. I would have liked more sauce on it too. I thought the meatballs were just ok. I would rather make the meatballs with the panko and ground beef more like your other meatball dishes. I'm not really a fan of the prepackaged meatballs but I will still eat them, they just aren't as good.
This was delicious and easy to make. I like that the meatballs were precooked so it was quick to make.
Good flavors and easy to prepare. I love a simple recipe sometimes that doesn't take too long to cook. I think the instructions were a bit misleading - this one should be cooked on a lower heat. Medium-high was too much, at least for my new cooktop.
Quick and yummy. The marinara had great flavor and I thought I'd need to add extra cheese but didn't even need it! It was perfectly balanced as is.
This was a really tasty version of meatball subs. Liked it and the portions were good.
Maybe smaller meatballs because they fly out of the bread pretty easy but otherwise very good! I added mozzarella balls and that added a nice cheese pull with every bite :)
Needed more sauce in my opinion. Added some onion to the second one before adding the cheese and this really added to the overall flavor. Liked that the meatballs were pre-made however I had a difficult time getting them out of the packaging.
Dang - never had a meatball sandwich before and this was fabulous. My husband and I both enjoyed it.
Pretty good though the instructions are misleading - said it would take 3-5 minutes for the meatballs to cook and it took a lot longer than that for mine. Kept thinking something was wrong.
Very quick to make and extremely tasty! Will definitely be getting this one again.
