When it comes to comfort foods, this family-friendly meal packs a delicious punch. Chicken breasts are dredged in breadcrumbs and fried to crispy-savory perfection—it doesn’t get much better than that! Especially when you dunk them in your choice of tangy BBQ sauce, creamy ranch, or both. After all, top-notch strips deserve top-notch dippers! *Nutrition values are representative of a 1/2 bundle serving.*
10 ounce
Chicken Cutlets
½ cup
Panko Breadcrumbs
(Contains: Wheat)
1 ounce
Sour Cream
(Contains: Milk)
1.5 ounce
Buttermilk Ranch Dressing
(Contains: Milk, Eggs)
2 ounce
BBQ Sauce
Salt
Pepper
Pat chicken dry with paper towels. Cut chicken lengthwise into 1-inch-thick strips. Season all over with salt and pepper.
In a medium bowl, toss chicken with sour cream until evenly coated. Place panko on a plate. Working one strip at a time, press chicken into panko until evenly coated.
Heat a ⅓-inch layer of oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Once oil is hot enough that a pinch of panko sizzles when added to the pan, add coated chicken. Cook until golden brown and cooked through, 3-5 minutes per side. (Lower heat if crust begins to brown too quickly.) Transfer to a paper-towel-lined plate. Season with salt.
Serve with BBQ sauce and ranch on the side for dipping.
Chicken is fully cooked when internal temperature reaches 165°.
RECIPE SUGGESTION Want a little more flavor? Season the sour cream with taco seasoning, BBQ seasoning, or Italian seasoning!
I think this recipe would be easier with air fryer instructions for those who don't know you can do that. I did the air fryer with these and it was 10x easier than pulling out a pan and oil for eight chicken fingers (that's how much I was able to make out of the chicken). I also suggest more chicken, two breasts isn't very much.
The chicken was the highest quality! Easy to make and delicious! My two serving order was part of at least three meals.
I cut up the chicken to make chicken nuggets and would've run out of panko except I had some extra from another recipe. This is amazingly easy to cook and tasty - a nice alternative to prepared foods
Yummy. Used these in a different way! Chopped them up and added them to salad mixing the ranch and bbq to make one dressing for the salad.
I was surprised at how good this was. Yes, it's fried chicken but I never knew that chicken fingers could be elevated.
Mine don't turn out like the photo but they are good and easy, love the bbq sauce
Kid loved the BBQ sauce! Nice crunch. Simple but tasty!
I used the fried tenders to make a chicken BLT on grilled Texas toast. Totally amazing!
Not bad in the air fryer! Make sure you season the chicken
I'm originally from Alabama and would not have thought to put sour cream on the chicken before the breading. I will definitely do that again in the future! I am also going to try it with fish.
