Cooking Oil
Combine pesto and mayonnaise in a small bowl. Halve buns. Form beef into two ½-inch-thick rounds; season lightly with salt and pepper. Divide half the cheese between each patty; gently fold meat around cheese to create cheese-stuffed patties, each slightly wider than a bun. Season with salt and pepper.
Heat a well-oiled grill to medium high, or heat a drizzle of oil in a grill pan or large pan over medium-high heat. Cook burgers to desired doneness (we suggest 3-5 minutes per side, but grills can vary). In the last 2 minutes of cooking, top patties with remaining cheese; cook until cheese melts. Add buns; toast until bread is golden. Spread tops of toasted buns with pesto aioli. Fill buns with burgers and serve.
Delicious burgers and easy to make! Pair them with some fries and you'll be well on your way to flavor town 🤤
These were surprisingly good--I'm not the biggest fan of pesto, but it really worked with this burger!
Boyfriend did not like burgers until we cooked these tasty treats. Now he is a fan
These were pretty good. Except I was a little unsure of the instructions to fold the patty around the cheese.
Taste was delicious, but the amount of beef sent was for maximum 2 burgers, not 4 like the recipe says.
Pesto sauce was a great addition to an otherwise somewhat simple burger. Would liked to have a bit more pesto sauce for the four burgers.
Pretty good. Need some panko or something in the burger. Burger was bland but was ok with pesto.
Didn't cook well, should have stuffed less and topped with the cheese mainly.
The cheese didn't ooze out of burgers. It seemed to absorb into burger and make it dry. Didn't like pesto sauce much... burger needed more spice
The pesto sauce was not a favorite. Stuffing the burger was more of a novelty presentation. The flavor was the same as adding cheese to the top of the burger.
