This hearty chicken dish is a breeze to put together, thanks to our oven-ready trays that keep cleanup to a minimum. You’ll top the chicken with honey Dijon dressing, melty Monterey Jack cheese, and a fried onion coating that crisps up to golden perfection as it bakes. Buttery baby potatoes and roasted green beans complete the meal.

Produced in a facility that processes eggs, milk, fish, peanuts, sesame, shellfish, soy, tree nuts, and wheat.

Cooking Steps

Prep & Coat Chicken
1

• Adjust rack to middle position and preheat oven to 425 degrees. Wash and dry produce (except potatoes). • Pat chicken* dry with paper towels and season all over with salt and pepper; place in center of oven-ready tray. • Place 1 TBSP dressing (2 TBSP for 4 servings) in a small bowl; reserve remaining dressing in a separate small bowl for serving. Brush tops of each chicken cutlet with 1⁄2 TBSP dressing. Sprinkle with Monterey Jack. Using your hands, finely crush crispy fried onions in their package; sprinkle over cheese, pressing to adhere.

Roast Chicken & Green Beans
2

• Arrange green beans around chicken in tray. Add a drizzle of oil over green beans and season with half the garlic powder (you’ll use the rest later), salt, and pepper. (For 4 servings, arrange chicken in one tray and green beans in second tray.) • Roast on middle rack until green beans are tender and chicken is cooked through, 20-25 minutes.

Cook Potatoes
3

• When chicken has about 8 minutes left, place sealed potato bag, front side down, in the microwave; microwave 5 minutes. Let bag cool in microwave for 2 minutes. TIP: You can also transfer potatoes to a medium microwave-safe bowl, cover tightly with plastic wrap, and microwave until tender, 5 minutes. • Carefully open bag (watch out for steam!) and add remaining garlic powder, 1 TBSP butter (2 TBSP for 4 servings), a pinch of salt, and pepper. Toss until potatoes are evenly coated.

Serve
4

• Divide chicken, green beans, and potatoes between plates. Serve with reserved dressing on the side.

Poultry is fully cooked when internal temperature reaches 165°.

The onion crunch chicken is usually one of my favorite Hello Fresh meals, but we did not like this preparation. The green beans were a bit soggy since they were in the same aluminum pan with the chicken. They are much better when they're cooked on a baking sheet and can spread out more. And this is the first time we've had HelloFresh microwave potatoes and we were not fans. The texture and flavor are just subpar any potato that's mashed roasted or baked would've been far better. That being said, the chicken itself is still delicious.

Of the prep and bake meals we've tried so far, we enjoyed this one the most. The chicken was perfectly seasoned, moist and tender with a nice crunchy crust. The green beans and potatoes were excellent sides. Paired this with some rolls for an excellent (easy prep and cleanup, too!) dinner.

I'm not a big fan of mustard on chicken, but it was a subtle flavor and the onion crunch was the perfect crust for these tender juicy chicken breasts. A well rounded meal with the string beans and small potatoes.

Great! The onion crunch chicken is always one of my favorite meals. Being able to cook it in a disposable pan was wonderful and I really loved the smaller potatoes in the bag. It made it easy to cook and took a lot less prep than the normal potatoes.

The cleanup is quick with the pan provided. I added a layer of onions under the chicken that was left from another recipe. I did peel and check the potatoes. Sooo delicious with the roasted green beans.

The chicken was really good, but the potatoes and green beans needed a little more flavor to them to be great. We ended up having to use our own seasonings for those, but the onion crunch chicken is generally one of my favorite meals to order.

Good flavors, not quite as good as the regular version of the onion crunch chicken meal. Green beans were a bit undercooked and chicken was just a little soggy from cooking next to the green beans.

The best thing about this recipe is how quick and easy it was to make a full course flavorful meal, the aluminum pan that came along with it took it over the top!!! Easy cleanup!!!

Excellent meal! The fried onion in the breading of the chicken adds so much flavor. And we enjoyed the change of whole steamed potatoes for the side.
