Cooking Steps

1

Halve buns. Place half the garlic herb butter in a small microwave-safe bowl; microwave until melted, 30 seconds. Stir in half the hot honey.

2

Tear or roughly chop pork into smaller pieces. Pat chicken dry with paper towels; season all over with salt and pepper. Form beef into four equal-size patties, each slightly wider than a bun; season generously with salt and pepper.

3

Heat a drizzle of oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add pork, BBQ sauce, and ¾ cup water. Cook, stirring occasionally, until reduced and thickened, 4-6 minutes. Taste and season with salt and pepper. Keep covered until ready to serve.

4

GRILL: Heat a well-oiled grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Add beef patties and chicken; cook patties to desired doneness and chicken until cooked through (we suggest 3-5 minutes per side for both, but grills can vary). In the last 2 minutes of cooking, brush chicken with honey garlic butter and top with gouda; top patties with cheddar. Cover and cook until cheese melts. Add buns; toast until golden.

5

STOVETOP: Toast buns. Heat a drizzle of oil in a second large pan over medium-high heat. Add beef patties and chicken; cook patties to desired doneness, 3-5 minutes per side, and chicken until cooked through, 3-5 minutes per side. In the last 2 minutes of cooking, brush chicken with honey garlic butter and top with gouda; top patties with cheddar. Cover and cook until cheese melts.

6

Spread cut sides of two buns with remaining garlic herb butter and fill with chicken; drizzle with remaining hot honey to taste. Fill two buns with beef patties. Fill remaining buns with BBQ pork.

Review summary

Updated on Dec 2025
  • Flavor: Many loved the variety, with pulled pork and hot honey chicken as standouts. Some found the burgers plain; consider adding extra seasoning.
  • Ease of prep: Simple and delicious overall, though a few found the instructions confusing when making multiple burger types at once.
  • Suggestions: Skip adding water to the BBQ sauce for thicker pulled pork. Consider grilling for the ultimate summer experience 🍔.
  • Portions: Some received less ground beef than expected. The burgers cooked down small for a few; consider making thicker patties.
  • Customization: Try adding your own toppings like lettuce and tomato to enhance the burgers. Some enjoyed doctoring the recipes to taste.
