Cooking Steps

1

Slice mozzarella into four even slices.

2

In a medium bowl, combine beef, half the Italian Seasoning, ½ tsp salt, and pepper. Form into four ½-inch-thick rounds. Place a mozzarella slice in the center of each beef round (trim mozzarella to fit if necessary). Gently fold meat around cheese, shaping and sealing to create stuffed patties, each slightly wider than a Parker House roll.

3

Heat a drizzle of oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add patties and cook to desired doneness, 3-5 minutes per side (it’s normal for some cheese to ooze out!).

4

Separate and halve rolls. Evenly spread marinara on the cut sides of each roll. Fill rolls with patties. Serve with any remaining marinara on the side.

5

RECIPE SUGGESTION (Additional ingredients not included.) Add some chili flakes along with the Italian Seasoning for added heat!

Ground Beef is fully cooked when internal temperature reaches 160°.

Review summary

Updated on Mar 2026
  • Flavor: Many enjoyed the taste, though some found it needed more seasoning. Adding Parmesan to the Italian seasoning boosted flavor 🍲.
  • Ease of prep: Quick and easy to make, but stuffing the cheese inside the patties was tricky for some.
  • Suggestions: Cook patties longer than instructed to ensure beef is done while cheese melts. Consider making thinner patties for easier eating.
  • Portions: Several wished for larger or more rolls to better match the patty size.
