Now with more chicken! You asked, we listened: This isn't the HelloFresh you remember. Bigger menu. Upgraded recipes. Increased portion sizes. More variety. The best way to cook dinner just got BETTER. Pan-seared Tuscan-spiced chicken tops a velvety stew of cannellini beans, blistered tomatoes, and wilted kale, all simmered with crème fraîche and Parmesan for extra richness. Finished with a shower of Parmesan, this rustic dish brings cozy Italian comfort to your table.
4 ounce
Heirloom Grape Tomatoes
1 unit
Cannellini Beans
2 tablespoon
Crème Fraîche
(Contains: Milk)
4 ounce
Kale
1 unit
Parmesan Cheese Block
(Contains: Milk)
12 ounce
Chicken Cutlets
1 tablespoon
Tuscan Heat Spice
1 teaspoon
Garlic Powder
teaspoon (tsp)
Salt
teaspoon (tsp)
Black Pepper
1 tablespoon (tbsp)
Olive Oil

Wash and dry produce.
Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a large, preferably nonstick, pan over medium-high heat. Add tomatoes; season with salt and pepper. Cook, stirring occasionally, until tomatoes begin to burst, 2-3 minutes. TIP: If tomatoes aren't bursting, gently press them with a spatula to help them along.
Turn off heat; transfer to a plate. Wipe out pan.
Remove and discard any large stems from kale if necessary.

Pat chicken* dry with paper towels. Season all over with 1 tsp Tuscan Heat Spice (2 tsp for 4 servings), salt, and pepper. (You'll use the remaining Tuscan Heat Spice in the next step.)
Heat a drizzle of olive oil in pan used for tomatoes over medium-high heat. Add chicken; cook until browned and cooked through, 5-7 minutes per side.
Transfer to a cutting board.

While chicken cooks, in a medium pot over medium-high heat, combine beans and their liquid, garlic powder, remaining Tuscan Heat Spice, ½ cup water (1 cup for 4 servings), salt, and pepper. Cook, stirring occasionally, until liquid has thickened and reduced, 4-6 minutes.
Stir in kale and crème fraîche. Grate half the Parmesan block directly into pot. Cook, stirring constantly, until kale is tender, 3-5 minutes.
Remove from heat. Stir in blistered tomatoes. Taste and season with salt and pepper.

Slice chicken crosswise.
Divide stewed white beans and kale between shallow bowls; top with chicken. Add a drizzle of olive oil; grate remaining Parmesan over top. Serve.
This was one of my top favorite recipes. Loved how easy this was to prepare. I really like the addition of the blistered tomatoes into the beans. The Parmesan cheese addition to the stew and the chicken was wonderful, even though that's an extra step I like grating it fresh. I really enjoyed the Tuscan spice used to flavor the chicken and stew. So good I might eat the other half later today instead of saving it for tomorrow.
I choose this meal because we had a similar dish in Florence, Italy this past May that was delicious. I wanted to see how this compared and if it was close to the homestead trattoria version of Tuscan Chicken Stew. It was very quick to prepare because the kale was already chopped up and the beans were canned. The seasonings were perfect for flavoring the canned beans. I am still a fan of cooked from dried beans for a much more umami fullness, but for a work night, the canned with seasoning works beautifully. Only 20 minutes for the entire cook time, 5 minutes for all the prep time. I now feel more confident trying a from-scratch version on the weekend as the weather cools and stew season is in full swing.
My husband wasn't sure about this one! He said "I'm too hungry to be playing with your lil recipes!" I paid him no mind, I prepared his meal and delivered with confidence as he watched football. I later returned and retrieve his plate and it was EMPTY! He said "You really surprised me with this one & it was GREAT! I was new for both of us but we absolutely loved the flavors and the combinations of beans & kale!! Thank you Hello Fresh 💯
A delicious combination of flavors! Warm and hearty, perfect to usher in fall. I adapted the recipe a bit to make it a one-pot meal, cutting the chicken into bite sized pieces and sautéing first, then adding the tomatoes and layering the other ingredients from there. Really yummy and satisfying!
Awesome meal. Quick and easy to make and very tasty. Big fan of beans and legumes. This recipe is delicious and quick to prepare.
Amazing! Love this one! I'd suggest a 3rd carton of beans to balance the two bags of kale but otherwise a perfect dish! Yum
This tastes amazing, and I love the macros. My only complaint is the pre-chopped kale has big and gross chunks of stem in it. I'd rather chop it myself to avoid the stem.
Great dish without being too heavy, the beans added a good texture
Love the use of beans in these new meals. This one had a great flavor with the parmesan.
Rename it white bean stew, not stewed white beans- you have other recipes that had "stewed white beans" that were delicious. This recipe was different and not good. The "stew" was bland, as was the chicken. Also can you include the ingredient amounts on the recipe cards? Idky you removed that(I'm guessing so people wouldn't be able to complain when you don't send the right amount) but it makes the recipe card useless for the future
