Cooking Steps

1

Adjust rack to top position and preheat oven to 375 degrees. Wash and dry produce.

2

Place spring rolls on a baking sheet and bake, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy, 18-20 minutes.

3

Trim and halve cucumbers lengthwise; slice into ½-inch-thick half-moons. In a medium bowl, toss cucumbers with vinegar, 1½ tsp sugar, and a big pinch of salt. Set aside to pickle, stirring occasionally. In a second medium bowl, toss coleslaw mix with sesame dressing. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

4

Heat a large drizzle of oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add gyoza, flat sides down, and cook for 1 minute. Carefully add ⅓ cup water; cover and cook until water has evaporated and bottoms are crispy, 4-5 minutes.

5

Serve with sauces on the side for dipping.

RECIPE SUGGESTION (Additional ingredients not included.) Have any fresh cilantro or scallions on hand? Add some to the pickled cucumbers and sesame slaw for extra brightness!

Review summary

Updated on Sep 2026
  • Flavor: The pork dumplings were a consistent crowd-pleaser 🥟; opinions on the Thai basil spring rolls were more divided, with some loving the bold basil flavor and others finding it overpowering.
  • Ease of prep: This board comes together quickly and easily, making it a great option for a low-effort dinner, snack, or entertaining spread.
  • Suggestions: Add fresh cilantro, scallions, or a splash of vinegar to the slaw to brighten it up; one reviewer also improved the dipping sauce by mixing soy sauce, rice vinegar, sriracha, and sesame oil.
  • Leftovers: The dumplings and spring rolls taste even better the next day, and the pickled cucumbers improve overnight as well.
  • Spring rolls: Cook spring rolls in an air fryer for a crispier result; some found oven-baked rolls fell apart or turned soggy, especially if the wrappers were damaged.
  • Spice: The spring rolls carry noticeable heat from basil and pepper — those sensitive to spice may want to taste before serving to guests.

So good, and the fresh, simple vegetable-based sides helped to round and balance out the prepared dumplings and spring rolls so it didn't feel so unhealthy! This made a nice and easy dinner treat on a Friday when I was exhausted from a difficult week. I would have loved a bit more dipping sauce, and I added a bit of mayo to the sesame slaw, but this was a definite win. I hope this kit is offered again in the future!

Solid dumplings and very excellent spring rolls. Flavorful and not just from salt. Would buy these Thai spring rolls again if sold in stores or on its own. A balanced combination of items for a good appetizer board.

We loved this board. This was such a fun idea and very different from the traditional cheese board. The flavors were fresh and made me feel I was in a Thai restaurant.

Loved everything about the dumplings and spring rolls. You might consider adding one each of the main dishes. My husband loved the pickled cukes....I'm not a fan. The cabbage was very good. Overall, we both loved the meal.

The Pork Dumplings were OK, and actually tasted quite good. The Spring Rolls were very delicate (probably because they aren't frozen) and fell apart in my fingers. Once baked they were better, but still fell apart. I would order the dumplings again, but not the spring rolls.

This was fun to make and to eat. The spring rolls were too spicy, in my opinion, but the dumplings were excellent.
