Got one pan and 15 minutes to spare? That’s all you need to get these delicious melts on the table! You’ll sizzle up fully cooked chicken breasts doused in a tangy-sweet BBQ sauce, then add cheddar cheese to melt over the top. Pile it all into buttery pan-toasted brioche buns along with crispy fried onions and serve ‘em up with potato chips and extra BBQ sauce for dipping.
½ cup

4 tablespoon

Fully Cooked Chicken Breasts

Crispy Fried Onions
(Contains: Wheat)
1 unit
Potato Chips
teaspoon (tsp)
Salt
teaspoon (tsp)
Black Pepper
1 teaspoon (tsp)
Cooking Oil
2 tablespoon (tbsp)
Butter
(Contains: Milk)

Wash and dry produce. Halve buns crosswide.
Heat 2 TBSP butter (4 TBSP for 4 servings) in a large pan on medium-low heat. Once butter has melted and covers the whole pan, place buns, cut sides down, in pan used for patties over medium-low heat. Toast, pressing down with a spatula, until golden brown, 1-2 minutes. Remove from pan and set aside.

Heat a drizzle of oil in the same pan used for buns. Add chicken and heat, until chicken is warmed through, 2-3 minutes per side.
Snip open a corner of the BBQ Sauce and drizzle onto chicken; flip and drizzle sauce onto the other side. Top each chicken breast with cheddar; cover pan until cheese melts. (Add a splash of water if cheese in the pan isn't melting well!) Turn off heat; transfer to a plate.

Fill buns with chicken patties and crispy fried onion.
Divide sandwiches and potato chips between plates. Serve with any remaining BBQ sauce on the side for dipping sandwiches.
Good, quick and easy. Today just happened to be a day when I did not want to spend a lot of time getting dinner so this was perfect. The BBQ was good and the cheese and onion are a good addition. The bun was also very good.
These were fast, easy to cook, and a big hit. Loved the fried onions.
A wonderful sandwich that was super tasty! The brioche buns and BBQ sauce drove this sandwich over the top! Very fast to prepare.
It was great took about 5 minutes to make completely so great for a quick meal and it tasted wonderful
Buns were soft and tasty, chicken was delicious, moist and tender.
Was so hungry for a chicken sandwich that wasn't breaded and this one did the trick, it was very tasty.
More recipes like this. Great for a quick easy meal in the summer. More chips for 2.
I was pleasantly surprised that the chicken was already cooked but we had dinner in minutes! So helpful.
This would have been better with oven roasted potato wedges rather than the chips. To keep it simple, even including a container of baked beans rather than the chips would have made it a bit more filling. Would love to see some options that include sugar-free sauces. Also, not easy on the pan with putting BBQ sauce on both sides of the chicken. I did like that the chicken was pre-cooked.
The BBQ sauce is delicious and we appreciate the quantity of the ingredients.
